Community Volunteering Opportunities

We are so lucky to have so many wonderful Mobberley residents willing to volunteer some of their free time to keep our lovely village at its best, if you would like to get involved with a village project in your spare time these are a few areas that are currently in need of some help.

Mobberley Newsletter Delivery
Approx 1 hour door to door delivery of the monthly newsletter keeping all residents abreast of what's happening in Mobberley.
If you can spare an hour a month to help Please contact Kate at clerk@mobberleyparishcouncil.co.uk

Friends of Mobberley Station

A small group of volunteers have been working hard this year cleaning and tidying the two platforms at Mobberley Station.  It had become overgrown due to the Covid restrictions and a lot of clearing of weeds and debris was needed when we returned to it at the beginning of 2023.  The shelters have been cleaned and painted by our Village Ranger, who has also repaired some of the benches.  The bulk of the hard work has been done with new planted flower barrels along both platforms and planting along the edges.
We really need your help to join our small team who meet on a regular basis for an hour once a month to keep on top of it and ensure it stays looking fabulous and creates a good impression for all local residents, passing rail travellers and station visitors.
Some months we meet at 11am on a Thursday morning, other months it’s at 11am on a Saturday, depending who is available when.  Like most things, the more people who are involved the quicker it gets done.
Please get in touch if you think you can help out, and don’t worry if you don’t know a lot about gardening, we can help you with what needs doing and provide some tools, if you don’t have your own.
I look forward to hearing from you and seeing you on the platform soon.
Thanks
Cllr Jackie Jones
